Keep Your Photo Up-to-Date: Authors are busy
people. There are stories to be created, deadlines to meet, and day-to-day Keeping your photo up-to-date with your current physical appearance is important. We want our readers discussing our book(s), not how much weight you have gained or lost or that your hair color is different from your photograph. You should consider having your photograph updated every couple of years if your overall appearance hasn't changed. If you have changes in your appearance, i.e., hair, weight, style, etc., have a new photograph done. Create a "Tag": Just as the characters
you create have character tags, think about what tag you can associate with your
image. Is there a certain style of clothing you prefer? If you wear glasses, do
you have a variety of types? Here are some examples of different
"tags" that you can have readers associate with your romantic image: Jewelry: Identify the type of jewelry you enjoy wearing. The kinds can run from artistic to old-fashioned. Let's say you live in Arizona. Consider the variety of turquoise and silver pieces you can make a part of your romantic image. Hair: If your hair is long, what different styles can you wear? Are there different kinds of ornamentation you can wear to hold your hair in place? The possibilities are endless. Creating "tags" that readers specifically identify with you is a way to differentiate your romantic image with that of any other author. Make Your Image A Part of You No matter the image you decide to work with, incorporate elements of romance
to that image. Good writing and well-crafted When you fine-tune your romantic image, you will discover that it can be as much fun as writing your story!
