A Time for New
Beginnings:
The "3 Steps to Self-Development" highlights the three areas that you should explore to help you grow as a person. Step #1: Mental Development Developing our minds is an important part of self-development. This includes exposing our minds to a wide range of information and experiences. The easiest channel for mental self-development is through reading about many different topics. Web-sites, magazines, books, and newsletters are all resources for reading on a variety of subjects. These resources cover everything from health, history, gardening, genealogy, the arts to photography.
RomanceEverAfter.com is another resource that provides a sprinkling of topics without getting into "heavy" long articles. Peruse the categories to expand your mental development. As you expose your mind to many areas, you grow intellectually which allows you to reach out to your spiritual side. Step #2: Spiritual Development Each of us has a spiritual side that needs to
be nurtured. Whether you participate in a formal religious community or
simply Step #3: Physical Development To create an overall circle of well-being, we need to take a moment to address our physical self-development. In the simplest terms, make the time to go for a walk. Most of us don't have the option to install a rigorous exercise program into our routine. So, just walk. For those of us who can incorporate a more involved program for physical self-development, make it happen. Truly, to have an overall balance in our self-development, exercise has to be a part of our routine. Next Week! Next week, we will discuss "The Challenge of Change." There are individuals who have great difficulty in accepting or prompting change in their life. "The Challenge of Change" addresses that issue.
