"The Playground"

One truth that I have learned since picking up my first manual 35mm camera is this:  you see a different world from behind a lens.

I decided to venture out on a Sunday morning.  I slipped my camera bag over my shoulder and headed out into the cool breeze.  I had no subject in mind, but knew that this particular morning would be special.

It was.

I came upon a playground in the midst of a nearby neighborhood.  Being early in the morning, little ones were still eating breakfast.  I had the playground to myself.  Although I heard no giggles, shouts of glee, or stomping feet against the wood chipped surface, the playground spoke loudly to me.  It was in the language of visual expression.

The lesson I learned Sunday morning was this:  take time to view a subject from a different perspective.  Observe the unseen.  Notice the obvious. It is in these that the best photographs are born.

The playground was brimming with individual subject opportunities.  Please enjoy the adventure with me.  Deviating from my typical format, I'm going to refrain from comment on the photos.  Simply interpret the photos as your memories and experience shape your perspective.
