The Pelican Cove Inn by Melissa Hamilton
The Pelican Cove Inn itself is an attractive bed and breakfast located approximately one block from the sandy beaches. The inn has eight rooms, and I enjoyed the simple yet luxurious surroundings of the Pelican Cove Inn. Greetings Nancy, one of the Pelican Cove Inn's
owners, greeted me with a warm, bright smile. She was a most attentive and
solicitous hostess to all her guests! I found the décor of the foyer very charming - Victorian style furniture, fresh flowers, books, and
magazines invite her guests to enter through the glass patio doors and make
themselves at home. Front entrance of the Inn The Coronado Room The Inn has multi-themed rooms available. I stayed in the Coronado room which
is decorated in soft pastels and lovely pictures gracing the walls. Guests can
hang their clothes in the beautiful armoire by the door. The four poster canopy
feather bed and spa tub were the highlights of the room! With the flip of a
switch, a warm fire comes alive in the fireplace by the bed. (The chocolate
candies by the fireplace are a yummy touch). The
I did come upon a delightful surprise on the lace-covered table by the bed. Nancy has several diaries on display whereby guests can write a comment or two about their visit. Reading each statement or story brought a smile to my face. Birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine’s Days, and honeymoons were just some of the reasons couples had stayed at the Inn. Guests had come from all over the country, i.e., Las Vegas, Cincinnati, Arizona, New Jersey, and Mexico, just to name a few.
The parking was extremely convenient with parking spaces on site. A private entrance is an added feature for the rooms. Guests can come and go at their leisure. The charm and comfort was one of the niceties of the Pelican Cove Inn! The hospitality Nancy extended, with a hug for her guests upon departure, made me feel as though I had stayed at a friend’s home. The romantic ambiance, privacy, and charming town of Carlsbad make this bed and breakfast a place to stay! You can visit their Web-site at www.pelican-cove.com
