Meet the Camerons and the McKenzies

The Camerons

Before we get into the specific books regarding the time period between 1859 and 1862, I would like to introduce you to the Camerons and the McKenzies. The first book, Sweet Savage Eden, starts the Cameron legacy in England in 1621 with the marriage of Jamie Cameron and Jasmine. Shortly after being married, they sail to the new wilderness called Virginia to begin their life together. Nine months later their first child, James Daniel, is born to commence the second generation of Camerons in the Tidewater, Virginia area.

The next book, A Pirate’s Pleasure, is about Jamie and Jassie’s great-great grandson, Lord Petroc (Roc) Cameron. We join Roc in his charade as the Silver Hawk, a pirate. Hawk captures his betrothed, Skye Kinsdale, on her way home from England to Williamsburg, Virginia and their relationship and love grows. Love Not a Rebel takes place before and during the Revolutionary War. Our hero Eric Cameron falls for Amanda Sterling. The story is about their struggles as man and wife and being on opposite sides during the war.

The McKenzies

The first book in the McKenzie series is Runaway. The story concerns Jarrett, a widower, and his second wife, Tara. Jarrett and his brother James have the same father who is Irish, but different mothers. Jarrett’s mother is also Irish but James’ is Seminole. The story begins with problems between the whites and Indians in Florida. Jarrett and Tara have three children: Ian, Julian and Tia.

Captive is the story of James and Teela McKenzie. Captive covers the struggles with the Seminole Indian wars in Florida. Teela’s father is a prominent leader among the white faction of the war with the Seminoles. The hero, James, is a widower and has a daughter, Jennifer from his first marriage to Naomi, an Indian. James and Teela have three children named Jerome, Brent, and Sydney. A daughter named Mary is born much later.
