Staying Single
by Millie Criswell

Harlequin Flipside, October 2003

They say the third time is the charm, but Francesca Morelli left groom No. 3 waiting at the altar. It's not that she doesn't like the three men she's jilted, she simply doesn't love them. She's let her meddling, matrimonially-minded mother, Josephine, run her life and fix her up with "suitable" men.

After her latest wedding fiasco, Francie vows to stay single forever, that is until handsome Associated Press photographer Mark Fielding walks into her struggling public relations firm asking for publicity for his newest book.

Unbeknownst to Francie, Fielding is bent on revenge. Groom No. 3 happened to be his stepbrother and he plans to woo Francie, then leave her at the altar, too. As he gets to know her, his best laid plans for revenge fall apart as he falls in love with her. As their wedding date nears, he has to tell her the truth and Mark could be jilted groom No. 4.

Staying Single has a wonderful cast of characters, especially Francie's delightful roommate, Leo, who should be every girl's best friend. Millie Criswell captures the flavor of the Italian family and kicks it up a notch in this riotously funny first book in the new Flipside series launched by Harlequin.
