Thought of the Week: September 8, 2002
"The strongest principle of growth
lies in human choice."
No Choice is a Choice Life is about choices. We choose where to go to college. We choose a spouse. We choose how we take care of our body and soul. The interesting point about "choice" is that choices are made for us if we consciously don't make a choice. How many of you have awakened one day to discover you are turning 30 or 40 and haven't done one thing or another? How do we feel if we've made choices that have not turned out the way we had anticipated? Now what do we do? The Wonder of Humanity We needn't feel disheartened. This is the beauty and wonder of humanity. No matter what our choices, conscious or not, those directions have made us who we are today. No matter what our choices are or will be, we grow from those experiences. We have the gift of choice - to make decisions
today to make our Goal for the Week! Whether you are faced with a "choice" today or next month, keep the following in mind. If you have the option, discuss your decision with a spouse, close friend or relative - someone who has your best interests at heart. Remember the saying "two heads are better than one." Then, move forward with your choice as see where life takes you.
