The Carillon is located in the midst of the Naperville River Walk. If you're lucky, you will be downtown when a musician plays this instrument. The sound of bells resonates through the walkways and is very pleasing to hear. The photo on the left provides a closer view. The musician sits up towards the top of the structure.
Peter Crawford was the Materials Project architect for the Carillon. In an interview in December 1999 on a local Naperville cable program, he stated his desire to "establish the design and the meaning behind the design to create something that the community could identify with, that the community would be proud of, and enjoy for a long time."
