Naperville, Illinois in the Fall

The Naper Settlement.  A marvelous museum with re-enactments and beautiful grounds for visitors to revisit our 19th century past.

Naperville Public Library.  I adore this library as the books, tapes, reference materials, and a myriad of other resources are easily accessible. And, the staff is terrific!

Naperville, Illinois is a lovely place to live.  The town is rich with culture, history and natural beauty.

We have a lovely downtown area that is beautiful year round, particularly during the Christmas season.  White Christmas lights adorn all the trees and store windows are alight with delightful decor.

Visitors should wear comfortable shoes as our Naperville River Walk area is not to be missed.

I took my camera with me in the early fall to capture the scenery before it melted into the winter season.  No matter the time of year, this area always provides a relaxing getaway, even for just an hour.

Enjoy!

One of the joys of the fall season is the colors.  The gold leaves are this tree were breathtaking.  The leaves were catching the sunshine and made for a beautiful scene.

I took this photograph from across the river.  (I always carry a telephoto lens!).  The edge of the river is only a few feet away.  I imagined sitting and enjoying a favorite pass time - people watching.
