The Naper Settlement is a wonderful museum to step back into 19th century America.  We wanted to share some of our favorite photographs with you.  If you are in the area, make sure and stop by for a visit.

A summer day is a great time to visit.  The sun enriches the varying textures and colors of the brick on this 19th century house.

Re-enactors of all ages keep occupied educating visitors or doing chores.  This young lady is transporting water using a "modern" convenience of the 19th century.

The wheelbarrow was a useful tool for transporting everything, including chopped wood.
