At this point in my life, after 17 years of marriage, coming home to a clean house, dishes and laundry done and put away, the kids gone for the night, and plans for dinner and a movie--all with no prompting from me. :) Why do you enjoy reading and writing romance? The happy ending. Life can be too depressing as it is. I don't want that in my fiction--yes, there are bad moments in romance--we try to make them true to life in some aspects, but there's always that happy ending to give you hope and make you feel good when you turn the last page. That's what I like to read--that's what I like to write. :) Why did you choose to write Romantic Science Fantasy? I've loved Science Fiction and Fantasy since I was a kid--never outgrew it. It seemed only natural to me to combine the two--giving me my "way out there" stories with that happy ending romance promises. What makes Romantic Science Fantasy stories unique to any other category romance (historicals, contemporary, etc.)?Contemporary and Historical romances are all set in places that are familiar--things we've likely seen before. Science Fantasy gives you something new, something different, something that you might not have seen before, something to wow you. Plus, they're so much fun. :) What is your most recently published romance book/upcoming book? My last published book was Real Magic, the second is my Sullust Federation series. It combines soft science and magic, hopefully making for a fun read. My next book, due out in September 2002, is a contemporary romance set in Colorado. The heroine is trying to retain custody of her niece, and the hero no matter how much he wants to, can't promise her the help she needs. What are your three favorite bookmarks (Web-sites)? Scribes World--it offers something for readers and authors alike--reviews, writing articles and more. http://www.scribesworld.comSample-Books.com--free previews of books of all types without any pressure to buy. http://www.sample-books.comAuthor's Den--this is another site filled with authors and info about them and their books. Very nice, it's free to visitors and mostly free to authors who'd like to set up a page.
