Author Booksignings
What could be more enjoyable than a delicious spread of goodies, marvelous conversation among new friends, and a fascinating guest author? We had a delightful evening with contemporary romance author Laura Moore. Charming, interesting, and open, Laura provided a sparkling evening for guests at Let's Talk Romance on May 22, 2003. (Borders Books & Music, Naperville, Illinois). An Adventurer at Heart One of the joys of attending Let’s Talk Romance is discovering the fascinating women behind the books they write. Laura had a way of making us feel like we were chatting with an old friend as she shared her passion for professional show (horse) jumping. Discussing her regiment of training, it is evident that Laura possesses a determination and strength for accomplishing her goals that inspired us all! She skillfully incorporated her experience and knowledge and wrote her first two novels, Ride a Dark Horse and Chance Meeting utilizing the world of professional show jumping as the backdrop. (It is interesting to note that some of the guests were excited to meet Laura because of their own fondness for horses).
A Time for Chatting Let's Talk Romance is a grand venue for meeting authors and relishing conversations, and building friendships with women of similar interests. Each attendee brings her own experiences and opinions, which provide for stimulating chats! Although our group consisted of reporters, horse lovers, writers, voracious readers, and one reader of World War II romances, we all have one common thread. We enjoy the romance genre and each benefit from knowing each other. Visit Laura Moore When you have an opportunity, stop by and visit Laura at her web-site at www.lauramoorebooks.com. You can read excerpts from her books, catch up on news, and check out photographs at her various appearances.
