Travel - In Your Backyard

"Kline Creek Farm - Saturday Visit"
Winfield, Illinois
www.dupageforest.com/EDUCATION/klinecreek.html

I took another opportunity to visit Kline Creek Farm on a pleasant Saturday afternoon.  The weather was most cooperative!  It was about 75 degrees, sunny, and a cool breeze helped brush away any notion of feeling hot.

What a great time I had taking photographs.  A subject of interest was at every turn.  The rich green of new foliage that accompanies late May in the Midwest is a joy to experience.

On my visit this time, I took my digital camera.  It's a good thing, too, because I would have used a full roll of 35mm film.  I hope you enjoy visiting Kline Creek Farm through my eyes.  If you have the chance to visit such a museum, I encourage you whole heartedly!

I titled this photograph "Hand in Hand".  This winding road leads to the entrance of Kline Creek Farm and was my first photograph. This was a touching vision.  I observed a grandmother walking hand in hand with her granddaughter. Sometimes the best photos are the ones you don't plan. The little girl's red T-shirt snaps with color against the rich green spring foliage.

The far left photo gives you another perspective of the road.  The next photo I entitled "The Gate".  The gate was a nice surprise just before I reached the bridge at the end of the road. The "Flowers by the House" (far right photo) was simply lovely.  An old wooden bench rested beneath a large tree.  The tranquil vision had to be captured!
