Thought of the Week: July 28, 2002

"There are only two choices; make
progress or make excuses."

People 601.jpg (45477 bytes)Have there been days that you literally say, "where has the day gone?"  Time has a way of slipping away, passing through our fingers like cool water on a summer day.

This week's Thought of the Day is interesting.  The simple statement of two choices seems straight forward.  We either move forward or make excuses why we don't take a step in the direction our eyes are pointed.  The challenge we all face is the ability to take that step forward.  There are a dozen daily distractions that make us veer off the path that we have set our feet upon.

Are there things that you want to accomplish this week, next month, in five years?  For readers over thirty, you know that a year passes you by in a flash.  How can we ensure that we won't wake up one day and discover life has passed us by?  Is there a fail safe way to make sure we embrace life to its fullest every day?

Yes.  Your choice is to make a plan.

If you write up a plan, you will progress in the directions you dream.  Excuses need never enter your realm of contemplation.

Goal for the Week!

Simply identify two major goals you would like to accomplish in the next year.  Write down these goals on a piece of paper.  Identify the people, resources, and steps you need to accomplish these goals.  Apply a little determination and a dash of commitment and you will accomplish your goals.

No matter what your goals, you can accomplish them if you make a plan.
