Contemporary Men in Kilts
Well, with the hero that's easy, since I wrote him to satisfy my fantasies of a modern-day Scot, so I pretty much adore him, slobber at the thought of him, and generally indulge freely in fantasies about him. (The rumors that I periodically ask my husband to speak in a Scottish brogue are purely unfounded.) The heroine, Kathie, is also endearing to me because she shares many of my faults (an overactive imagination, a secret desire to fall madly in love atMEN IN KILTS had its origins in a dream I had about an American mystery writer who went to the UK and ended staying there. I loved the idea of a modern Scottish hero so much, I knew it was going to be a book I had to write. I held onto the finished product for a couple of years before I sold it because the story was so special to me, I wanted it to go to a publisher who would love it as much as I did. Luckily, an editor at NAL fell in love with it as well.If there is anything else you would like to share with readers about your book?I'd just like to thank everyone who's trotted out and bought a copy of the book. MEN IN KILTS was on the USA Today list for three weeks, which absolutely thrilled me. I'm profoundly grateful to all my readers for their support!
