Sweet Knees
Cornelia attended the
13th Annual Celtic Heritage Festival on April 16-17,
2005, which was
presented by the Celtic Heritage Society of East Texas. The Festival was
held at the World’s Richest Acre site, Downtown Kilgore. She
particularly had fun witnessing the famous Bonniest Knees contest.
Houston Highland Games
Cornelia shares her entertaining visit to the
Houston Highland Games held May 15-16, 2005 in Houston, Texas. Read about

Herding & Hunting in the Austin Highlands
Cornelia attended the Austin Celtic Festival at Fiesta Gardens
held November 5-6, 2005. She shares

grew up he worked as a shopkeeper, then a farmer. At last he became a teacher.

Hengist & Vortigern
After 400 years of Roman rule, the Roman army and government withdrew from
Britannia in 410 AD. A few Roman government officials must have stayed and
kept their same positions for love of the country they had come to think of as
their own. Cornelia discusses an interesting history of Hengist and Vortigern.
Lughnessadh: Celtic Harvest Festival
Lughnassadh is the Celtic Harvest
festival celebrated July 31 or August 1. The Harvest is named after the
sun god Lugh. Learn the legend that is filled with love, intrigue, and
murder. Both the Welsh and Irish versions of the tale of Lugh or Llew is
discussed.
