Dealing in Murder
by Elaine Flinn
Avon Books, October 2003

Elaine Flinn romance author.JPG (15721 bytes)Elaine discusses her writing process, writing mysteries and her research for Dealing in Murder!  Check out her interview at Elaine Flinn

Molly Doyle thought she was leaving trouble behind when she escaped a bad marriage and a scandal involving her now ex-husband and his lover in New York. With nothing but a suitcase full of clothes, Molly is dependent upon the kindness of an old family friend.

Max sets her up in a ratty antique shop on the other coast in scenic Carmel, California. Molly has a nose for distinctive antiques, so when a desk catches her eye at a garage sale, she purchases it. Unfortunately, she forgot to ask for the key to the locked desk. When she returns to the sale, the homeowner falls into her arms, not because she's grateful for the sale, it's because she's dead.

Hotshot Police Chief Kenneth Randall thinks there's something fishy about Molly and starts delving into her past. As bodies start popping up, Chief Randall wonders if Molly could be capable of murder or is she just a victim? Author Elaine Flinn is incredibly knowledgeable about the antique business. Readers will not only enjoy this cozy mystery, but fans of "The Antiques Roadshow" will feel as though they purchased a guidebook to antiques.
