The one characteristic of love is truly loving our mate for who and what they are. The First Thing You Noticed A good exercise is to reflect upon the first things we noticed about our mate that we appreciated. Perhaps your loved one is loyal, honest, is kind to animals, or gets along well with your family. It is important to remember why we noticed our mate. There was something about him that drew us to him. Accepting Human Frailties Sometimes it can be a difficult thing accepting our loved one's foibles. The reality is that when we love someone, we accept both the positive and negative aspects of their character. It is this conglomeration of elements that make him special.
