Photo Gallery:Photo Study: Photography as Art and Story/Melissa Hamilton/Fall on Fall

Note:  The majority of photos displayed here are a terrific example
of color and texture.

Gold Tree.JPG (52595 bytes)Gold is a common enough color in the Fall, but when you get close, you realize the beauty of the shades of gold.

I loved the contrast of blue and gold.  In addition, the textures in the mass of leaves keeps the eyes constantly moving.

Green Red Leaves.JPG (86409 bytes)I took this photo simply because I liked the contrast of colors.  The burgundy and green melt together.  Also, it made me philosophize a bit.  Within this photo, change is evident.  As in life, events and circumstance move us forward in a constant state of change.  Nature has learned to "go with flow" of change.

Settler Park Fruit on Tree.JPG (77167 bytes)While strolling the grounds, I almost missed this photograph.  The tree was off the pathway amongst a crop of trees.  I shot this photo simply because it was pretty.  It was a treasure found among trees already barren of their leaves.

Settler Park Mushrooms in Grass.JPG (93471 bytes)When I walk in a forest, park, or meadow, I have a tendency to look down.  I'm so glad I did this day, because I discovered the most fascinating mushrooms.  There were dozens of them hiding in the grass.  What a treasure to be missed by the careless visitor.

Settle Pond Geese.JPG (58836 bytes)
I had to include a photo of the geese.  These beautiful birds are quite common in the Chicagoland area. If there is a lake, you will find geese.

 Settler Park Lake.JPG (57012 bytes)

The fountain is located in the middle of the pond.  It really is a lovely view.  I decided to take this perspective because of the vibrant red branches from the tree.  The red contrast nicely against the turquoise water and blue sky.
